Pastrana among entries in this weekends Toyota All-Star Showdown – SPEED to Broadcast

By Tim Haddock Sporting News NASCAR Wire Service IRWINDALE, CALIF.—Travis Pastrana is joining the ranks of Ricky Carmichael and Brian Deegan, motocross riders who have made the transition into NASCAR. Pastrana will make his NASCAR debut in the Toyota All-Star Showdown at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale this weekend. He will be one of at least 45 drivers trying to qualify for the race. Race winners from last year’s NASCAR K&N East and West Pro Series events plus the series champions from all of NASCAR’s developmental series in 2010 have automatic starting spots in the Showdown. Pastrana, an X Games, freestyle motocross and rally car champion, will be driving the No. 99 Toyota for Pastrana-Waltrip Racing in the Showdown.
