Key Motorsports Signs NASCAR Veteran Scott Wimmer for 2011

Altamonte Springs, FL -Curtis Key and his Key Motorsports team will again be fielding the #40 Chevrolet, now with the new Impala, in the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season. For this coming season Curtis has gone back to the well with a driver that he is very familiar with, and knows can show the true ability of his team and the equipment they are putting on track in Wausau, Wisconsin native Scott Wimmer. Scott Wimmer Looks to Close the Deal at Fontana

Fontana – Although he lacked the finish to show for it, driver Scott Wimmer had a successful first start with Key Motorsports last weekend at Daytona International Speedway. After being named one of the biggest movers of the race for his sprint from 43rd place, loop data ranked Wimmer as 4th fastest driver on restarts, and 5th fastest driver in an early run. Fontana Truck Preview – Mike Bliss

GETTING THEIR MONEY’S WORTH — The night before last week’s race at Daytona International Speedway, Curtis Key received a phone call from Phillip May, President of Oakland Metal Buildings, Inc., stating that he wanted to sponsor Mike Bliss in the No. 40 Key Motorsports Chevrolet for the Truck Series season opener. After Bliss was forced to resign from the race after a lap 6 crash, Key has decided to run Oakland Metal Buildings, Inc. once again this weekend at no cost. Carfax to Sponsor Scott Wimmer at Daytona

In its 18-year history, Key Motorsports has made 41 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts, but this is the team’s first full-time season in the series since the its inception in 1991.
