Nashville Superspeedway Won’t Host NASCAR in 2012
Dover – Nashville Superspeedway won’t play host to any NASCAR events in 2012, parent company Dover Motorsports announced Wednesday. Nashville is the third track owned by Dover Motorsports that will close or be sold in the last three years. Dover shut down its Memphis and Gateway facilities in the last two years. Investment Group with Earnhardt ties to purchase Memphis Motorsports Park
Dover, DE – Dover Motorsports, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell Memphis Motorsports Park to Gulf Coast Entertainment, L.L.C. Under the terms of the agreement, Dover Motorsports will sell all of the stock of its subsidiary Memphis International Motorsports Corporation, the owner of Memphis Motorsports Park, to Gulf Coast Entertainment for $10 million in cash.
