Schrader Mixing in Dirt Track Adventure During Menards 200 Race Weekend
TOLEDO, Ohio – The ever versatile Ken Schrader will be mixing in some good old-fashioned dirt track racing during his visit to Toledo Speedway for the Sunday afternoon, May 23rd Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care.
Schrader, on track to make his 10th ARCA/Toledo Speedway start, is scheduled to make a side trip to Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio Saturday night, May 22 to race his dirt late model.
For the better part of 30 years Schrader has been averaging 90-plus races a year. From NASCAR to ARCA, from late models to modifieds, the ageless veteran is still very much on the march. Schrader, who turns 55 on May 29, has 58 career ARCA starts overall with 15 wins (4 at Toledo) and 15 Menards pole awards.
In addition to an impressive NASCAR career that includes 4 wins and 3 Daytona 500 poles, the Fenton, Missouri native was the USAC Silver Crown champion in 1982 and the USAC Sprint Car champion in 1983. Schrader is also expected to race with ARCA later this year at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds mile-dirt.
