David Poole Dies of Heart Attack
David Poole, one of the most well known journalists covering NASCAR died of a heart attack at his home this afternoon. The 50 year old Poole has covered NASCAR for the Charlotte Observer for the last 13 years. In addition he hosted a show on the Sirius Sattelite Network called “The Morning Drive”. Poole was a 4-time winner of the of the National Motorsports Press Association’s George Cunningham Award as the organization’s writer of the year.
