Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Joins Kevin Harvick Inc. for 2010 Season
March 13th, 2010 | Comments Off
KERNERSVILLE, N.C. – Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) has announced Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, the Mid-Atlantic’s largest retailer of closeouts and salvage merchandise, has joined KHI as a primary sponsor on the No. 33 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for the event at Dover (Del.) International Speedway on May 15th, 2010.
“Embarking upon this sponsorship marks an exciting time for the Ollie’s crew and customers,” said Ollie’s President and CEO Mark Butler. “Many loyal NASCAR fans are also loyal Ollie’s fans, and we’re proud to team up with one of NASCAR’s best as he continues to grow and thrive in his career. Sponsoring Kevin’s car for the big race at Dover in May is a thrill for all of us at Ollie’s. We can’t wait to see Kevin compete with our signature colors on the number thirty-three Chevrolet!”
Continuing to grow their presence by expanding their number of locations across the Mid-Atlantic, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet also expands their presence in NASCAR.
“This is a great fit for us since both NASCAR and Ollie’s Bargain Outlets are growing and unpredictable,” said Butler. Just like you never know what’s going to happen in NASCAR in the next lap, you never know what you’re going to find on your next visit to Ollie’s Bargain Outlet!”
Ollie’s already has a presence in Dover with one of their semi-lovely stores, and will soon showcase a bit of its unique identity on the track.
“To have Ollie’s Bargain Outlet join KHI is exciting as we continue to grow in this sport,” said KHI co-owner Kevin Harvick. “It’s always exciting to announce a new partnership and I can’t wait to get to Dover to drive their car. We haven’t gotten the finishes we wanted the last few times at Dover, but hopefully we can change that this year with Ollie’s on board and knock out my first career Nationwide Series win at the Monster Mile.”
Tune in to ABC on Saturday, May 15 starting at 2:00 p.m. EST to watch Harvick and the No. 33 Ollie’s Bargain Outlet team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Heluva Good! 200 at Dover (Del.) International Speedway. Harvick will be looking for his first career Nationwide Series win and first career NASCAR win at the one-mile concrete oval.
In addition to piloting the No. 33 Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Chevrolet, Harvick will also make appearances at select Ollie’s Bargain Outlet new store openings this season, as the retailer of “Good Stuff Cheap” gears up to bring one-of-a-kind values to new locations in the Mid-Atlantic region.
