Morgan Shepherd To Field Fan Car At Daytona
DAYTONA, FL. – Morgan Shepherd’s Faith Motorsports crew is working hard getting cars readied for the 2010 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule and will kick off the new year by honoring its fans with its entry at Daytona in February.
Shepherd will be fielding a “Fans for Faith” entry during the season opener, whereby fans, businesses, churches and others can share in the excitement of kicking of the 2010 season.
“We wanted to do something that would honor all of our fans and let them share in becoming a sponsor,” Shepherd said. “We have created a program that will let individuals, churches, schools, charities and virtually anyone to become a sponsor in the biggest race of the year for just $100.”
Shepherd said sponsorship packages are just $100 for Daytona and include the sponsor’s name written 1.25 inches high by 5 inches long on the race car. Sponsors also will receive an autographed post card and a free team t-shirt for participating.
Sponsorships can be arranged by calling Cindy Caldwell at 828-256-2194 or by mailing a check or money order for $100 to Victory in Jesus Racing, P.O. Box 623, Conover, NC 28613.
Shepherd said he would love to fill his car completely with names of Christian supporters for the Daytona race.
“It would be great with the shape the world is in today to be able to run that race with the names of our fans, supporters and believers on the car,” Shepherd said. “Christians need to make a statement about promoting Christ and I think by helping be part of the Racing With Jesus program it would be making that statement.”
