Morgan Shepherd Gets Full Year Associate Sponsor
MILWAUKEE, WI. – Lagina Plumbing, a Milwaukee-based commercial plumbing company, will join Faith Motorsports as an associate sponsor of Morgan Shepherd’s #89 Chevrolet in all 35 races in NASCAR’s 2009 Nationwide Series campaign, Faith Motorsports announced today.
Jim Lagina, president of Lagina Plumbing, said his decision to continue supporting the team came down to character.
“We at Lagina Plumbing are tremendously impressed with Morgan Shepherd and the entire Faith Motorsports team,” Lagina said. “Morgan’s hard work, his determination in the face of adversity, and his passion for racing are even more impressive when you consider his purpose for life. He’s racing to win, but he knows there’s something infinitely more important in life. We’re honored to help him carry that message throughout the racing circuit.”
Lagina’s corporate logo will be carried on the team’s #89 Chevy in all 35 races, as well as on the team’s uniforms, pit crew suits, pit box and other equipment.
Lagina Plumbing launched its support for Faith Motorsports amid the 2008 season, and is very pleased to be an associate sponsor of the team for the entire 2009 season, Lagina said.
“We’re all rooting for the best season ever this year for Morgan and his team at Faith Motorsports. It’s a great team; we’re confident they will produce winning results,” Lagina said.
In addition to the traditional on-track sponsorships, Lagina’s advertisements will also appear on the team’s tractor-trailer hauler and on its website, www.racewithfaith.com.
Shepherd, who at age 67 is NASCAR’s oldest and most experienced full time competitor, said having a company such as Lagina Plumbing involved with his program only increases the team’s desire to succeed.
“Mr Lagina and his family were such a blessing to us throughout the 2008 season and we are so thankful to welcome them back for a full season this year,” Shepherd said. “They run their business and serve their clients the same way we go about racing, with honesty and dedication.”
Shepherd said Lagina’s sponsorship in 2008 allowed the team to improve its finishes dramatically as the season progressed, including a 13th place run at Talladega Superspeedway.
Shepherd finished the 2008 campaign 29th in driver points while the team was 31st in owner points, both the highest marks since Faith Motorsports started racing in 2006.

Awesome awesome awesome…Morgan is gonna turn some heads this year
I too am on the Morgan Shepherd bandwagon. Racing the competition, but beating the odds. Oldest athlete in professional sports. Incredible story this year. Not a start and park. Don’t know how he does it. I wouldn’t let my dad ride a lawnmower in 90 degree heat for more than a half-hour. Morgan drives in well over 100 degree heat for 2-3 hours. The strength of Faith! Go89!
lets all get behind morgan if no more than fans ihe has been my favorite driver since he started at hickory speedway and he is a great driver i still believe he can win races thank you lagina plumbing
