Live Webcast To Allow Fans to Check Out TMS’ Annual Media Day Event
FORT WORTH – The annual Texas Motor Speedway Media Day routinely has been reserved for local and regional media outlets as well as special guests, but social media channels will allow race fans to enjoy Monday’s event that features prominent faces of NASCAR and the IZOD IndyCar Series.
Texas Motor Speedway Media Day will be available free to fans via USTREAM and all they need to do is head to the home page of www.texasmotorspeedway.com to locate the link for the 60-minute show that will begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. CT.
The event will be highlighted by Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage hosting Q&A sessions on stage with NASCAR President Mike Helton; reigning IZOD IndyCar Series champion Dario Franchitti; 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Joey Logano; Sprint Cup Series driver and former three-time IndyCar Series champion Sam Hornish Jr.; and NASCAR Nationwide/Camping World Truck Series driver James Buescher, a native of nearby Plano, Texas, whose racing career started at Lil’ Texas Motor Speedway.
In addition to those sessions, Gossage also will be making some major announcements regarding the IZOD IndyCar Series race in June and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event in November.
Logano also will get engaged in the social networking activity as he will “tweet” throughout the day and provide his take on the day to his fans on twitter @20homedepotteam. Coupled with Logano’s updates, Texas Motor Speedway will provide live news and information on its twitter page @TXMotorSpeedway or join its fan page on Facebook, Texas Motor Speedway, to find updates, photos and information from the event.
The event also can be heard on the more traditional media outlets as four of Dallas/Fort Worth’s major radio stations will broadcast live from the event. Newy & Richie on 105.3 The FAN (10 a.m.-2 p.m. CT), Ernie & Jay on 1080 AM KRLD (10 a.m.-2 p.m. CT), The Ben & Skin Show on 103.3 ESPN Radio (11 a.m.-2 p.m. CT) and Bob & Dan on 1310 The Ticket (Noon-2 p.m. CT) will have media day guests live on the air throughout their respective programs.
