David Ragan Ready for Las Vegas
David Ragan has an average starting position of 36.5 and average finishing position of 22nd in just two previous starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Ragan will be competing in both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series events this weekend. Ragan has two previous Nationwide starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway; his best finish was 10th in the spring of 2008.
Ragan on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
“It’s really important to get a good finish this weekend to stay in the top 10. Overall we tend to run well at mile-and-a-half tracks and we got a good finish last year at Vegas. The track is really fast with the new surface which makes for a fast-paced race. I think about getting that first win all the time and I can’t wait to get it, maybe this weekend we’ll finally walk away with a much-deserved victory.”
Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway:
“Vegas is a good track for David. He ran well there last year and does really well at mile-and-a-half tracks. His confidence is increasing and his first win is right around the corner. Hopefully everything will fall into place and we’ll leave Vegas with another solid finish.”
- Ragan will be signing autographs at Discount Tire (6565 E. Lake Mead Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89156), February 26th from 4-6 PM.
