MOORESVILLE, N.C. – David Green, the 1994 Nationwide Series champion, will be the driver for the newly formed SK Motorsports team for the upcoming season, which opens at Daytona International Speedway on Feb. 14. He will drive the No. 07 Toyota.
“This is a great opportunity to return to the Nationwide Series with a group of people who are racers and are dedicated to racing,” Green said.
Green has nine wins, 72 top-five finishes and 144 top-10s in 387 starts. he has not raced a full season since the 2006 season, when he finished 23rd in points.
SK Motorsports was founded by Pete Szekeres, owner of Dynamic Technology Inc., and Jared Keeney, a dirt modified racer from Pennsylvania.
“David Green brings to the table a championship and many years of experience,” team co-owner Pete Szekeres said. “His image within the NASCAR racing community is one of respect and admiration. These are certainly qualities that we all want to aspire to.
