NASCAR LogoDAYTONA BEACH – Matthew Huffstetler, a crew member for the No. 01 team in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and William David Keith, a crew member for the No. 38 team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, have been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy.

On March 5, both were found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the 2010 NASCAR rule book.

Front Row Motorsports released statement saying that it “fully supports the immediate and indefinite suspension of contracted employee David Keith from NASCAR. Keith was not a full-time employee of Front Row Motorsports.”

“Our job is to put a professional, responsible, competitive and safe race team on the track each weekend,” said Bob Jenkins, team owner. “Our employees, and associates assigned to work for our team, are expected to behave professionally and within the rules of the sport. We are very disappointed that one of our contracted employees did not meet our expectations, and we completely support NASCAR, their policies and final decisions especially when it comes to the substance-abuse policy.”
