Kyle Busch and Traxxas make it a perfect four-for-four with Monster Mile Truck Series Win
DOVER, Del. – Kyle Busch led 128 of the 200 laps in Friday’s Lucas Oil 200 at Dover International Speedway en route to his third NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) victory of the season. Busch, who held off a strong challenge late in the race from rookie Cole Whitt, won for the fourth time in as many races with Traxxas as the primary sponsor on his No. 18 Toyota since the remote-controlled car manufacturer came on board in the middle of last season. The win was also the fourth in six races for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) in 2011, helping the defending owners’ champions stretch their lead in this year’s standings to 49 points. “The Traxxas Toyota Tundra was awesome today,” said Busch “Eric and the guys did a great … Read entire article »

Kyle Busch wins third truck race of season
By Reid Spencer Sporting News NASCAR Wire Service DOVER, Del.—Victory in Friday’s Lucas Oil 200 wasn’t the only thing Kyle Busch gained at Dover International Speedway. He also gained a healthy dose of respect for NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie and second-place finisher Cole Whitt. Pulling away from Whitt’s No. 60 Red Bull Chevrolet after a restart on Lap 198 of 200, Busch won the race under caution when Nelson Piquet Jr. and Timothy Peters wrecked on the final lap. Busch picked up his third truck series victory in five starts this season. Busch won for the second time at Dover—becoming the first repeat winner here—and for the 27th time in the series. Matt Crafton came home third and claimed the series points lead. Austin Dillon and Kevin Harvick ran fourth and fifth, respectively. “Cole Whitt … Read entire article »

Unassuming Whitt already making strides in truck series
By Jared Turner Sporting News NASCAR Wire Service To hear Cole Whitt tell it, he’s just a simple guy. So simple, in fact, that his time during the week consists largely of hanging out at his team’s race shop and tinkering with his own diesel truck. The 19-year-old also isn’t one to gloat about his accomplishments—which include a USAC National Midget championship in 2008 and two USAC Silver Crown wins in ’09—and he more or less likes to take life at a slow pace when he’s not racing. Perhaps it is Whitt’s low-key personality that makes the rookie hardly a household name yet in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. It’s all good with him, though. He’s been making plenty of noise this season on the track. In just five starts this year in NASCAR’s No. 3 … Read entire article »

The partnership has proved to be a perfect fit on and off the track. Bodine is a 3-time Dover Winner Just Not Yet in Trucks
Mooresville, N.C. – As the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series gets ready to spend Friday the 13th at the Monster Mile, Todd Bodine and the No. 30 Germain.com Tundra team are thinking of how nice it would be to finally get their chance to hang out in Dover International Speedway’s victory lane. “It would mean a lot for me to win at Dover just because I’ve always done so well there. To not have a truck win there is disappointing. I’ve run well at Dover in all three divisions and it’s always been one of my favorites. To get a win with this team would be pretty cool,” said Bodine, who earned his first NASCAR career top-five finish at the Monster Mile in 1990. Crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. said that he … Read entire article »

Gaughan has been part of six exciting NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races there and has a total of 12 NASCAR career starts at the one-mile track. “Dover is one of the few places in racing that as a driver you actually get a sensation of speed. From the top of that race track to the very bottom I think somebody once told me is 25 or 30 feet? That’s a three story building. You actually drive down hill there. It’s really cool. The concrete gives you so much grip that you drive in so hard it … Read entire article »
