Kroger 250 at Martinsville Speedway Race Results

Martinsville – Kevin Harvick started on the pole of Saturday’s Kroger 250 and went on to lead 187 of the 250 laps before taking the checkered flag. Unlike his boss, Ron Hornaday started the date in the 31st spot but managed to work his way through the field to take second behind his truck owner. Following Hornaday to the flag was Brian Ickler, who found out on Friday that he would be driving the Kyle Busch Motorsports truck at Martinsville. Ickler started next to Hornaday in 32nd but made his way through the field to take third. Rounding out the top five were points leader Timothy Peters and Johnny Benson. Mary Smith reports on ESPN.com that Denny Hamlin will undergoing knee surgery on Monday. NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin will have reconstructive surgery on his left knee Monday, sources close to the driver and Joe Gibbs Racing told ESPN.com.
