Crew Member John Boyd Suspended for Violating NASCARs Substance Abuse Policy
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – John Boyd, a licensed crew member for the R3 Motorsports No. 23 team in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy. On March 9, Boyd was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 7-5 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the 2009 NASCAR rule book. Boyd is the second crewmember suspended this year as NASCAR implements its new drug testing policy. In February a crew member working for Jeremy Mayfield was suspended. … Read entire article »

Tucson, Arizona’s own Cody “THE KID” Cambensy gets closer to his life long dream of becoming a professional race car driver in the NASCAR ranks. “THE KID” is getting his shot with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team Lafferty Motorsports.
