Prism Motorsports Teams with Window World and Terry Labonte for Daytona
From a Window World press release Two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Terry Labonte inked a deal that puts him behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry fielded by newly-formed Prism Motorsports for the 2009 “Daytona 500”. In making the announcement, team co-owners Phil Parsons and Randy Humphrey also indicated that they expect to compete in the full 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Schedule. Montoya Sponsor Lays off 1500
More problems for Sprint Cup sponsors today as Target, sponsor of the #42 Gnassi Chevrolet of Juan Pablo Montoya announced 1,500 job cuts. The Work force reduction affects 9% of employees at its headquarters, including the elimination of about 600 employees and 400 open positions. Carl Long Plans to Run Daytona 500
Carl Long has announced that he will be piloting the #46 Romeo Guest Construction Dodge in the 51st running of the Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday, February 15th. Zachry Holdings Inc., will sponsor David Starr and the No. 24 HT Motorsports Toyota for the 2009 Camping World Truck Series season. Sliced Bread gets smushed by NASCAR
Joey Logano, hailed by many as the best thing since “sliced bread” discovered that NASCAR doesn’t necessarily like the wreckers or checkers attitude in any race except the All-Star event in Charlotte. Saturday night Logano wrecked Peyton Sellers in the last turn of the Toyota All-Star Showdown to pick up his second win in the race.
